I was babysitting my youngest grandchild during Covid for a while and we would go for lots of walks. He would comment on whose car was there and whose wasn't. I asked him if he thought the neighbor was at the grocery store, and then realized he didn't remember what a grocery store was, as they never went.
Later when he went to the preschool half a block away, I wasn't allowed into the building to pick him up because I refused the Covid shots. Just. Crazy.
