When gender bullshit appeared in the early 2000’s I warned friends that this was going to be a setback for gays lesbians ans women. I still have friends wondering why I focus on this issue today… but the failures I see and you point out - gay organizations; civil rights organizations and media - have created a catastrophic situation driving staggering cultural and political setbacks because the progressive left is now actually aligned with the far right.
We will see acceleration of excuses of imposing severe setbacks on gays and lesbians and independent self-determining women because the right are openly using this as a wedge issue, and the progressives are unable to defend comstituencies.
The fetish is a lie, as you say, but people seem to feel calling it out is wrong. Until the ACLU begins defending civil liberties and GLAAD stops defaming Gays and Lesbians, and HRC starts defending human rights, they should be defunded and their Boards and Executives Shamed until they disappear.
