Are childless, unmarried women to blame for bad politics?

According to heterodox men, yes!

I have grown very tired of feminism being blamed for everything. This is in spite of the fact I blame “feminism” for a lot of things.

For most of my career as a writer and podcaster, beginning way back in like 2011 or so, I have been very vocal in my criticisms of third wave feminism. This is the iteration of feminism that took hold in the 90s and remains dominant. We are not, despite what some pontificators say, in a fourth wave of feminism. The ideology of third wave feminism is the one that continues to have a stronghold on the culture—that is to say, one that speaks of “intersectionality” over women’s rights; that places everyone on a scale of privilege and oppression, mostly dictated by race; that insists “transwomen are women;” “sex work is work;” and that anything a woman chooses is uncriticizable as she made a choice.

This faction of feminism refuses to criticize Islam or the veil, as that would be “phobic” and “racist;” and believes voting for anyone but Democrats is inherently anti-woman, despite the fact that the Democrats insist they have no idea what a woman is. They have no problem with pornography, despite the fact that of all mediums and products, pornography is the most blatant promoter of racism, misogyny, and abuse. The third wavers have zero class analysis, likely because they are mostly middle and upper class themselves, despite promoting socialist mantras like “smash capitalism.” They have zero critiques of the birth control pill or of Big Pharma as a whole, nor do they have much to say about hook up culture and dating apps.

As a result of all this, I have spent more time criticizing third wave feminism than probably anyone else. So believe me, I appreciate the temptation to blame the world’s ills on them. But the blame isn’t really being placed on third wave feminism so much as it is being placed on the entirety of feminism, as well as specifically on childless, single woman (so, also feminism, seeing as it was the women’s movement that freed us up to choose a non-traditional path).

The trend of late has been for men to shit all over women who failed to marry and have children. And this isn’t just coming from the right, as one might like to predict, but from the supposedly “heterodox” men as well. Childless women are, we’re told, responsible for “woke,” for the insanity of the left, for the trans trend, for the decline of the birth rate in the West, for men’s porn habits (Women aren’t fucking men enough! What choice do they have?!), for the loneliness epidemic among men (Women aren’t fucking enough losers! It’s not fair!), for the lack of traditional families, for divorce, and so on and so forth.

There is some accuracy to all these claims (of course now that women aren’t dependent on men for their survival and existence, they are going to be less likely to marry and more likely to choose divorce, as this simply wasn’t an option in the past), but it’s not the whole story.
