Bravo Meghan. Thank you for your courage and integrity in speaking out on this hateful issue created expressly to sow (yet more) seeds of discord and strife in our Western societies. It’s societal sabotage pure and simple by an extremely perverse yet powerful group of people. And it’s not necessarily the trans people themselves behind it; they’re just the ‘means to an end’.

And thank you for detailing the unpleasant and restrictive impact it’s had on your life. Given who you’re up against I’m not surprised it’s been tough.

Bon courage!

Very well said Meghan.

I lost all but my very closest friends over this issue and they didn’t even have the grace to say why. Just ostracism. And that’s a tiny fraction of what you and many have been through. So no, Malcolm Gladwell does not get a pass for hindsight. The wind blew north and he went with it; now the wind’s blowing south and he goes with it. What an utter waste of space he is.

It's really terrible. If it's of any comfort, they all have to live with themselves...

Thank you Meghan, for carrying this burden of truth into the public domain from the get go. And thanks for always being on Linehan's side - it was always a bit weird that even JKR had nothing to say about his travails until the Heathrow arrest. Also, fuck Gladwell and other shitty little cowards like him.

“You deserve to feel ashamed for being a coward and for allowing the rest of us to take the heat.” Yes, Yes, and YES. So many excellent observations in this piece! And to think I once respected Gladwell. What else was he faking?!! Thank you, Meghan for all you’ve done when the going was particularly ROUGH. 🤩

Yes to all this but worth saying I think it should be strategically frictionless to defect to our side for non-public intellectuals.

If anyone knows anything about courage, It's you. Gladwell has always been a sort of comic book intellectual. I read one of his books. It was like thought-light.
