I’ve always been averse to “branding,” despite the fact those around me have, since the time I started blogging way back in 2011, tried to convince me it’s the only way. I had no real reason, early on, to reject a Meghan Murphy “brand,” apart from an inherent aversion to the effort. It feels inauthentic and sleezy, as well as like a trap.
