It's the freedom, stupid

It turns out that if you try to grab America by the balls, rather than beg for mercy, it fights back.

Well, we did it. And I can’t pretend I’m not thrilled.

Not because of Trump, specifically, but because of democracy and the fuck you spirit of America that turns out to be alive and well. Democracy was the thing I was really worried about… And I guess Trump deserves credit for bringing out the red, white and blue middle finger in all us.

It’s hard to trust anything at all these days — after having been lied to about so much by The Experts and those responsible for bringing us things like facts and news, while offering us only propaganda and politicized fairy tales, I wasn’t sure even the electoral system worked. After everything the Democrats did to rid themselves of a worthy opponent, I couldn’t imagine they would draw a line at the vote. But last night demonstrated not only that democracy lives, but that the American people want to keep it.

Well, most of them.
