I do hope the PPC is able to get more seats this election. Because of you, Meghan, I've started paying more attention to their candidates, and their platform is so much closer to my own ideals. I'm all for immigration, but NOT mass. I despise this DEI nonsense. I have friends with physical disabilities who have trouble finding meaningful employment, and they get drowned out by the crowd that claims DEI for superficial reasons like skin color and sexual orientation. From the outset, I was vocally against Covid mandates, especially for the 'vaccine'.
I have come to see Poilievre as someone who sticks his finger in the air to see which way the ideological winds are blowing before he makes a statement, or gives an opinion. There are a few UPC candidates who I have immense respect for like, Leslyn Lewis, but I'm not in her riding.
Just on a different note, I have learned an interesting note about Trump's steel and aluminum tariffs. Turns out, China has massively subsidized this industry. Countries, like Vietnam will buy from China, do a minor value add and then resell to the US. It's become a back door for China to undermine the US's own industry. I'm wondering how much of that is also happening with Canada. Are we doing the same as Vietnam?
PS.
It would be fun to see you run as a PPC candidate. Vancouver certainly needs a shake up.
I like Leslyn Lewis too, and I did quite like Poilievre but now I'm just getting the impression he's going to end up being too much more of the same... And we cannot have more of the same!
100% in agreement. I could see Poilievre cutting off funding to extreme left groups like CAHN, but I don't think he would go as far as Trump and doing whatever the Canadian equivalent is of an Executive Order. Letting this extremism die a slow death from lack of funding would still not be fast enough for me.
The Canadian Center for 'Ethics' in Sports also needs to have it's funding pulled.

Please run for PPC! I'm not in your riding, but close and would be glad to help!
