To continue …… face value. Do I merely accept your word that the info is legit or do I seek out experts who have the qualifications to do so? Also you have concluded that because I am questioning the book’s claims that I am ignorant of recent or current events and then claim you are sorry (really) that I don’t want to believe what you believe. You then accuse me of focusing on one individual when you provided the source for your claim!
I am truly sorry that, through this conversation , someone I previously admired has demonstrated a classic example of confirmation bias and lacks critical thinking skills (as well as the inability to make a good argument). Your doom and gloom hyperbolic accusations and claims, and because you have a platform will serve to add to public distrust of science and medicine.
By the way, searching out critiques/reviews by experts when certain books/articles etc are recommended to me has been very helpful in my life and career. It can help to counter confirmation bias.
As a last point, I may borrow the book from the library but as a 75 year old I’m not sure I have the time nor skills to fact check to the degree that this type of book calls for.
What is obvious from your style of argument, that being: insisting the book be read without critical appraisal of the info presented and accepting it at
By your second sentence it is obvious you do not understand what a critical review of a book/ research is. It seems you believe that if I read the book I will see all this “data” he provides and I will be convinced. To truly review the book would mean I don’t just look at the graphs, nor accept his interpretation of the research, I would have to read and comprehend said studies myself. Many experts have done so and report that he misrepresents many findings (perhaps because he has an agenda or he doesn’t understand the outcomes or conclusions, or he could be lying?) Providing long lists of sources (“data, trials, stats and facts”) should not be taken at face value. The supporting data needs to be scrutinized by experts (peer reviews etc.) Sadly, most people are not capable of such in depth reviews and “ believe what they see and hear” that which is presented to them, especially if it coincides with their own worldview.
I guess my question to you would be: why are you so convinced by RFK Jr , a person with no scientific, medical or research background, and who has a long standing reputation of being untruthful and a conspiracy theorist. You obviously are capable of being more of a skeptic when it comes to the claims by those pushing the gender ideology agenda and harming children. Why are you so convinced that RFK Jr got the facts right?
But maybe don’t answer. It is probably best to agree to disagree.
Dude you can't tell me that the vast information, statistics, data, research in the book isn't legit when you haven't even read the book... I'm sorry you don't want to hear how badly you and so many others were misled by corrupt, greedy people, but that doesn't change the reality of what went down. RFK Jr has a reputation of integrity and truth telling, despite what the Democrat-funded mainstream media says. Are you not following all that's going on now and is being revealed about the media/smear campaigns against Trump and his entire adminstration? Why on earth would you believe companies and institutions that have be shown to have lied over and over again to you about the vaccine, Covid, the Democrats, Trump and so much else? You are focusing heavily on one individual, who you don't like, rather than looking at the facts and the big picture of what has been revealed to us all over the last five years. It's strange. I'm convinced by all that we know and have learned, as well as of course the truth, data, facts, science etc. You just don't like a guy.
Did you read just those three articles? Are you skilled enough to review scientific research and declare it “legit”? Probably not, but you are trusting RFK Jr, a lawyer, to provide truthful and accurate health info with his storied background. Yes I am free to look at it myself however I am willing to admit that I am not as skilled at deciphering complicated data as the experts I follow and defer to (even though my varied health care background and four years on a Research Ethics Board does help). Yes, there many problems with many health institutions, individuals and pharmaceutical companies (read Ben Goldacre’s books). However, your hyperbolic stance is not at all convincing and reads like you have joined a cult and abandoned rational thought, sadly. Here is some reading material for you:
The Vaccine Race - Meredith Wadman
The Emperor of All Maledies and The Gene - Siddhartha Mukherjee
She Has Her Mother’s Laugh - Carl Zimmerman
Perhaps you might revise your ideas that “they” (that is - everyone involved with the CDC and drug companies) are evil.
Did you read the book? I find it very odd that you insist I read *about* the source but you refuse to read the source itself. The info provided in the book is not invented by RFK Jr—it is data, trials, stats, and facts from *other* sources, again, including, Pfizer itself, the CDC, the FDA, etc etc. Why don't you read the book and then let me know what you think? And of course these drug companies are evil. Did you miss the entire Oxycontin scandal (never mind the whole Covid debacle)? These companies have knowingly killed and injured millions for profit. Even if you don't wish to look at the data and facts, one can just observe what went down during Covid in various countries to see that, 1) the vaccine didn't stop the spread, nor did it stop anyone from getting sick, 2) the vaccines were rushed to be approved in a way that made it impossible to do any long term studies on its effects, 3) countless people were vaccine injured or died as a result of the "vaccine, 4) Fauci, these companies, the media, and the government lied about it ALL. Why are you attached to believing people who have lied to you over and over again? Why won't you believe your own eyes and ears?
And how much of this “data” did you research? While I will only include the following critiques I’m sure you can find many more articles by folks who took the time to do so. JFK Jr. is neither a reliable resource nor an honest person. I’m saddened that you have been taken in and I am now reluctant to trust you when I previously had great admiration for your points of view.
It's all legit data. Much of it from the CDC and the Pfizer trials themselves. They just lied or manipulated the data to give a dishonest impression. It's very odd to me that you would trust a corporation that has lied so many times, destroyed so many lies, and been outright evil for so many years over facts and data that if you cared to look out, you would likely find foolproof. You are free to look at it yourself, and decide for yourself, if you wish. Why won't you, is the question?
COVID vaccines caused more deaths than it prevented!? Please provide a source for this claim.
Read RFK Jr's book about Fauci. He cites endless data.
Sorry hit the send button by accident!

This is the end of this conversation for me.
" Do I merely accept your word that the info is legit or do I seek out experts who have the qualifications to do so?"
Why on earth would you accept me at my word and not simply... read the book and look at the data yourself?
