Nathan Cofnas is an American postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University in Belgium, focusing on the philosophy of biology and ethics, with a particular interest in scientific and ethical controversies connected with evolution-informed social science. After publishing an article detailing the truth about plagiarist and fabulist, Jason Arday (now deceased), Cofnas was subject to mass condemnation and protest. He was vilified as a racist and suspended by Ghent University, under investigation for "discrimination." I spoke with Nathan about his work, his views on DEI, and the backlash he received in response to his article.
