Much of this I have heard from Julie before - she really is THE expert on these horrible areas. Still great to hear her on as ever. What was really eye opening though was hearing you both discussing the need for a revision of the concept of patriarchy in respect of women with privileged status being accountable for their own decisions. That’s a view I’ve not heard elsewhere. It suggests that you and Julie are the real feminists who are actually pushing forward to adapt it to current conditions instead of imposing a doctrinaire analysis that has ceased to fit adequately with important parts of our culture.
If you could get Julie back to expand on that aspect, that would be amazing!
