On President Donald Trump’s first day in office, he got to work immediately, signing a number of executive orders, including one titled, “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.”
The order defines men as “adult human males,” women as “adult human females,” and “sex” as referring “to an individual’s immutable biological classification as either male or female.” It also explicitly calls “efforts to eradicate the biological reality of sex” an attack on women, “depriving them of their dignity, safety, and well-being.”
It all felt quite revolutionary and many of us who have been on the front lines of the fight against gender identity ideology were ecstatic.
