With regard to your response, I think I technically understand all this. Obviously women's bodies are built for stimulation from penises so the dildo thing makes sense (though personally I'm not into inanimate objects haha). At the end of the day, anyone can be attracted to anyone they like, and it doesn't really even matter why. I can't explain why I'm attracted to certain men and not to others, really... Often it's so much to do with sense of humour and body language, how one carries themselves, etc. I think the question is just one that will maybe never be answerable nor ever make total sense to straight people. Which is, like, why if a man is attracted to a man would they want one that acted or looked "like a woman" particularly. And vice versa. I think the lesbians who got angry on X were taking it as a question of "why would you be attracted to a woman and not a man" but that wasn't the point.
I came out in 1997 (3 school aged kids, husband) and I was asked quite a few times what that attraction is. It's whatever gets your innards going. For me, it's the sweet smell of a woman rather than a man's sharper smell. The mixed media of masculine and feminine revs my engine in a woman rather than the same mixed media in a man.
