Free speech has been freed again!
The worst attack on free speech in the history of ever is over.
Free speech lovers rejoice—the biggest fascism to have ever fascismed is over, the worst attack on free speech ever to be seen has ended, and we have narrowly escaped living under the Taliban.
We can all breath a sigh of relief—Jimmy Kimmel Live! is back on the air.
A statement from The Walt Disney Company explains:
Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.
So it turns out neither the government nor Trump nor the FCC demanded ABC/Disney fire Jimmy Kimmel on account of his lie about Charlie Kirk’s assassin. Rather, the decision to temporarily suspend the show was one made by the company losing money on Kimmel’s show. This may have happened on account of affiliate pressure, or because this was a great way to get ratings up, or because Kimmel had committed to doubling down on his claim that the shooter was “MAGA,” causing further damage, or because the show wasn’t making money anymore.
None of us really know the full motivation behind the temporary suspension of the show, or why it was reinstated, but we do know that it was not the most direct infringement by the government on free speech we’ve ever seen.
I also know that my suspicion that all progressives are on glue is correct.
Imagine the United States government coming and taking your voice from you!? Suppressing your freedom of speech! Just imagine.
Well, we can all imagine because that’s literally what happened throughout the Biden administration, as was revealed in the Twitter files, and further revealed today, as a document from Google committed to allowing YouTube accounts that were banned for “political speech” to be reinstated.
"Reflecting the Company’s commitment to free expression, YouTube will provide an opportunity for all creators to rejoin the platform if the company terminated their channels for repeated violations of COVID-19 and elections integrity policies that are no longer in effect," the lawyer representing Google wrote.
The document revealed that White House officials, under the Biden administration, pushed Google behind the scenes to remove “misinformation” related to Covid.
Not one of the celebrities or Libtards of Note who freaked out over the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! expressed one iota of concern about the extensive government censorship that happened throughout Covid, but suddenly when Jimmy Kimmel gets a week off of work it’s the most straightforward attack on free speech from state actors we’ve ever seen.
Indeed, hundreds of Hollywood celebrities who never uttered one word about the Biden administration censoring countless people for failing to support their Covid lies lept to action in defense of Jimmy Kimmel’s right to lie on the FCC-regulated public airwaves, signing an open letter by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) condemning Disney’s suspension of his boring-ass show.
The letter, signed by noted freedom fighters, Selena Gomez, Ben Stiller, Jamie Lee Curtis, Natalie Portman, Sheryl Crow, Jennifer Aniston and more, states:
We know this moment is bigger than us and our industry. Teachers, government employees, law firms, researchers, universities, students and so many more are also facing direct attacks on their freedom of expression.
Regardless of our political affiliation, or whether we engage in politics or not, we all love our country. We also share the belief that our voices should never be silenced by those in power – because if it happens to one of us, it happens to all of us.
Oh do you??! Do you “know this moment is bigger than us and our industry”??! Because when “this moment” literally was bigger than you rich, phony turds and your industry, you said nothing.
Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension was never a first amendment violation—it was a decision made by a company that they had the right to make. But even if the FCC had directed the company to end Kimmel’s show, they arguably would have been within their rights.
FCC chairman Brendan Carr explained to Benny Johnson on The Benny Show:
What people don't understand is that the broadcasters… are entirely different than people that use other forms of communication. They have a license granted by us at the FCC, and that comes with it an obligation to operate in the public interest…
You can’t be engaging in a pattern of news distortion… news distortion is prohibited… an intentional effort to mislead the American people about a core, fundamental fact about a very important matter.
Had that happened, whether or not it would have been legit could have been up for debate, but it didn’t, so it isn’t.
And now, instead of focusing on the political assassination of a husband and father—actually the epitome of cancel culture and the most permanent and disturbing attack on free speech we’ve seen in America in our lifetimes—the news cycle and the progressives whose only experience of “cancel culture” is the cancellation of their own humanity can focus on the man they are now trying to fashion as “The Most Important Comedian on TV Under Trump 2.0.”
I suppose the comedy really does write itself. Again, who needs Jimmy Kimmel.

Free Jimmy Kimmel!
Sorry, I mean, please free the airwaves of Jimmy Kimmel.
Now Jimmy is free to fail the old fashioned way… because of merit.
Anybody up for a deadpool?
