Are Canadians really all that nice?

I spoke with National Post columnist Terry Newman about the recent animosity between the US and Canada and what it reveals about Canadians.

In a rather shocking new development, the generally friendly relationship between America and Canada seems to have devolved into posturing, insults, and booing during the national anthem at hockey games. As the Liberal Party plays “Team Canada,” Canadians have fallen in line—turning their rage, once directed at still-Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, towards Trump’s America.

Have Canadians ruined their “nice guy” reputation for good? And did they ever deserve it to begin with?

I spoke with National Post editor and columnist Terry Newman about the current state of politics and debate in North America, where we’re headed, and whether Canadians really are as nice as was assumed.
